Quick Recap: How Does Dropshipping Business Works?
To understand drop shipping, you need to understand how businesses work.
First, a product is created by a company and sold to distributors or retailers who sell it at a marked-up price to their customers.
The distributor or retailer makes money on both ends:
By selling it at a higher price and by keeping some of those sales proceeds in exchange for acting as a middleman between manufacturer and consumer.
A dropshipper doesn’t have all that overhead – they skip out on manufacturing products entirely and simply connect buyers with sellers.
So, when an online customer orders a product through a dropshipper, he/she gets exactly what they ordered from manufacturers directly;
but instead of paying extra for having someone else carry it across town before handing it off to them in person, they pay less
Because they order straight from Amazon, Aliexpress, Jet, etc…
A company like Oberlo makes these direct connections possible by acting as an automated storefront.
On one side there are suppliers of goods;
And on another consumer, Oberlo users provide templates that display these goods along with pictures and information about them. Read here
Once your store is set up though you’ll still want to fill your inventory with products that actually people want!
Why do you need to read dropshipping books?
A lot of people think that you can learn everything you need to know about business and dropshipping by just spending a few hours browsing through articles online.
But that’s simply not true.
To succeed in e-commerce, you need practical knowledge. You need to see things written down on paper and put into practice.
Reading books is one of your best ways to get that knowledge – and it’s a methodical way to approach learning as well. How do I know?
Because I read plenty of books when I was getting started with my first affiliate marketing business, I used them as an opportunity to ask questions
and also clarify any uncertainties I had about my business model.
